Books banned, redundantly.
Two books, Join the Caravan and In Defence of Muslim Lands, have been forcibly removed from the University of Melbourne Library.
The joint statement by the Council of Australian University Librarians, Australian Library and Information Association, Australian Society of Authors and International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions can be found here.
However, I have just discovered that the naughty, naughty texts are available online!
Join the Caravan and In Defence of Muslim Lands can be very easily located and read on the web.
The website they are on seems a tad pro-Jihad so I don't know if one can get in trouble for going there too often or linking to the site, but I just wanted to point out the stupidity of the fools banning the books.
Fuckwits!

See, they should stop banning books based on content and instead ban books based on writing ability.
You're next, Matthew Reilly!
Good post. Like I've been saying, yesterday they ban games, today then ban books, tomorrow they ban thoughts.
Not sure I would describe that as a pro-Jihad site...
Well I'm no expert in the area and I didn't stay on the site for too long but text such as [below] and the picture of the burning twin towers on the home page suggests otherwise.
"While Islamists have many goals, the ultimate one is establishing a worldwide Caliphate (Islamic state): to overthrow and destroy democratic governments accross the globe and replace them with a single Taliban-style Islamic fundamentalist theocracy. There would be one all-powerful head of state, the Caliph. Individuals would be governed by strict Shariah Law, religion would be for Allah alone, and personal liberty limited by Islamic jurisprudence."
Would anti-western and anti-liberalist be a better choice of words?
I'm really not trying to be anti-Islamic here, just trying to call it like I see it and I'm only referring to the text on that website, not the to the whole of Islam.
